We live in the legacy of humbling forces that
shaped the coast we know today.
400 million years ago, slates, sandstone and volcanics were layered and formed
deep in the Earth's crust.
100 million years of tectonic movement, contorted
and built them as mountains above the water.
Today, they seemingly stand as a constant.
Shaped now by the Atlantic as part of Earth's history.
Whilst we concern ourselves.
Our time here is fleeting.
These photographs are my search through the rock of the North Devon Coast.
A perspective in the face of daily life.
